Resumen:
Geochemical variations in arc-related magmas allow correlating their magmatic evolution with changes in the geodynamic context of the Andean subduction zone. We compared the geochemical signature of mostly tholeiitic to calcalkaline arc-related products through different Andean segments, from Southern Central to North Patagonian Andes including those located both in a frontal and in a retroarc position, together with alkaline retroarc volcanism associated with arc dynamics. Overall, geochemical evolution of Cenozoic arc magmas reflects the direct influence of the variable geodynamic processes developed along the andes, which control the intensity, volume, location, composition and eruptive styles of the arc-related products
