Resumen:
The central sector of the North Patagonian Andes between 41°08´ and the 41°11´ S is characterized by the presence of the Colohuincul Complex, a Jurassic Volcanic and Sedimentary Complex, the North Patagonian Batholith and the Tronador Volcanic Complex. A stratigraphic cross-section of the Tronador I unit was made in the eastern slope of the Tronador Volcano. The Tronador Volcanic Complex was dated using the Ar-Ar chronological method. Comprehensive study of mesoscopic fault kinematics and distribution of lineations allowed to define the structural style of this area as a NNE right-lateral strike-slip system.
