Resumen:
Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) is a core epigenetic regulator, which represses genes involved in tumorigenesis and plays acrucial role in cell cycle regulation. This protein catalyzes the repressivemark H3K27me3 and is associated with proliferation and worseoutcome in several tumor entities. Considering the few epigeneticsstudies in pituitary tumors the aim of this study is to elucidate theeffect of EZH2 and H327me3 on cell cycle regulation in order tounderstand epigenetic´s tumor growth. For this propose we usedexperimental pituitary tumors induced by estradiol benzoate (30mgcapsule) in adult Fisher male rats. Experiments were performed withthe adenohyphophysis and primary pituitary cell culture, from controland induced-tumoral glands. Protein analysis of H3K27me3 andEZH2 was made through Western Blot and the mRNA levels of cellcycle regulators, cdkn1a, cdk4, ccdn1 and tp53 was quantified byqRT-PCR. Statistical analysis: t-test (p
