LDPE was converted to a mixed of lower and higher hydrocarbons over modified ZSM-11 and ZSM-5. Zn-ZSM-11 exhibited the highest level of LHC (>70 wt%). One-pass reactor in a temperature range of 400-500oC and atmospheric pressure was employed. We observed the complete conversion of LDPE, in the range of temperatures studied. Reaction products were analyzed by gas chromatographic and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. By means of the development of a competitive catalytic system, we determine the feasibility of the process of degradation of LDPE remainders towards the synthesis of gaseous and liquid HC.
