Resumen:
We studied the activity/stability of zeolites ZSM-11 modified with H+ and Zn2+ on the catalytic cracking of LDPE using two different experimental procedures. The physicochemical characterization of the virgins catalysts was performed by XRD, FTIR and AA. The identification and quantification of acid sites present in fresh catalytic materials was performed by FTIR of adsorbed pyridine. Pure polymer and physical mixtures LDPE / catalyst were studied by TG. The application of procedure A (500 °C for 300 min) revealed a slight trend to decrease of the HCL with increasing reaction time on both zeolites. The production of C6-C9 HCA increased with reaction time when using Zn-Z, while for H-Z remained constant. Procedure B consisted of 11 catalytic cycles (1 cycle = 20 min) to 500 ° C. The catalytic materials exhibited a high activity / stability, with the majority selectivity towards C3-C4 fractions and HCA C6-C9. The accumulated coke in HZ was 8.71 %wt/wt and in Zn-Z 13.46 %wt/wt.
