Resumen:
This work compares several well-known models and simulators which may beused as a means to analyze glucose level controllers for Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus(IDDM) patients. The objective is to compare them in terms of their use in practical situationswhich should include important issues: model uncertainty, time variations, nonlinearities,glucose and insulin measurement noise, delays between subcutaneous and plasma levels,pump saturation, and real-time controller implementation. The prospective use as a means ofcontroller design is also taken into consideration.
