Given an analog compensator K(s), a new approach tothe deign of a sampled-data compensator is investigated.The objective is to design a digital trander function D(z) sothat the cone center (1/T)H(s)D(e^sT)F(s) approximatesthe analog transfer function K(s). This approach overcomesthe ill effects of extra phase lag introduced by theprefliter F(s) and the hold H(s).
