Resumen:
The project progress and outcomes of our collaboration "Remote sensing of wetlands" (SPUK, Strategic Partner UNSAM-KIT) were presented. Four subprojects in wetland ecosystems have been conducted so far: Field-data-driven maps of carbon -rich peat swamps in Amazonia; 35 years of mining history in a biodiversity hotspot; Spatio-temporal analysis of fluvial dynamics and forest succession in the Bolivian Amazon; Land uses surrounding gravel ponds in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
