Resumen:
The present work extends the distribution of H. uruguayensis to the western and south in argentina and cites the spe- cies for the first time for Bolivia. this species which was originally described from the uruguay river in Southern Brazil, is here reported for the first time within the occidental Chaco ecoregion (Cabrera 1976) and in the río de la Plata the most austral distribution point.
