Resumen:
Buenos Aires is one of the world mega city affected by atmospheric pollution problems. Scientific efforts are directed toward a better understanding and improvement of our ability to quantify the evolution of air quality degradation. This objective is accomplished now in Argentine in many ways by different national governmental organizations. In this work, we present an identification of local and regional aerosols using a Multiwavelength Lidar to obtain vertical-layered extinction and backscatter retrieval information. These time-resolved profiles permit us to calculate aerosol optical properties inside and outside the boundary layer, showing their mixing up and down properties and the contrast between the local source production and the mesoscale aerosol transport.
