Resumen:
Owing to the toxicity of conventional pigments usually selected in the coatings industry and also to legal restrictions in force, many studies are realized with non-toxic inhibitors. The aim of this paper was to carry out at laboratory conditions the manufacture of aluminum tannates to be used as non-toxic inhibitors in anticorrosive coatings, to make some laboratory testing to assess their most important characteristics and finally to evaluate the anticorrosive coatings behavior formulated with the mentioned inhibitive-pigments in accelerated tests.
