This paper will review our research and that of ourassociates on the effects of alcohol and cannabinoidson reproduction. Today, alcohol is classified as apsychotropic drug, like delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol(THC), the active ingredient of marihuana. A largenumber of neurotransmitters not only the classicalones, but also a host of neuropeptides that can actas neutransmitters or neuromodulators, exist in thecentral nervous system (CNS) and there is abundantevidence that alcohol and cannabinoids can affect anumber of them.
