Resumen:
Purpose: To analyze possible associations between systemic and ocular cytokine levels andspecific clinical ophthalmologic signs from patients with a reactivation of toxoplasmicretinochoroiditis (RTR). Methods: eighteen patients with an active RTR episode, eight patientswith inactive scars and 14 control patients were included in the study. Serum samples andAqueous humor samples were analyzed for IFN-γ, IL-10 and IL-6 levels by ELISA.Inflammation grade, location and size of the retinochoroideal active lesion, sampling time andtime to resolution were recorded.
