The article consists of three sections: Brief history of the concept ?biopolitics?, The dark side of biopolitics: genocide and Towards affirmative biopolitics: criticism, obedience and prevention. The division intends to present the way biopolitics, modernity and (modern) genocide are related from a critical approach. Such work might constitute a significant contribution to the studies on genocide and an analytical tool for genocide prevention.
