Resumen:
Over the pass seven years, it has been an interest of this research group to study the effects of Enterococcus faecalis CECT7121 (Ef CECT7121), an environmental bacterial strain isolated from a natural corn silage. This bacterium has been proved to be non-pathogenic in a BALB/c mice model, does not produce virulence factors nor presents multiple antibiotics resistance (including vancomycin). We have demonstrated that Ef CECT7121 presents a wide immunomodulatory activity, producing beneficial effects over many biological models.
