Historical Trends Leading to the Same-Sex Marriage Law in Argentina

This article analyzes the social transformationsconverging in "the revolution of LGTB rights" in Argentina. Unlikeother short-term perspectives focusing on the strategies of LGBT organizationsand on different sudden and recent shifts in politics, our study concentrates onthe historical transformations of varying length that established theconditions under which the struggle for same-sex marriage could succeed.
