In the following work we have made the point that the meaning of the transcendental legitimacy of "universal history" from Kant´s point of view must be targeted. While historical reflections are a special kind of teleological judgment, we will show that the validity of them is more than logically possible even though less than transcendental necessary. The legitimacy of the universal history consists on the "real possibility" that provides to it the idea of freedom considered as the "final end" (Endzweck) of nature and, it is for this too, that it brings the idea that phenomenically expresses the final end of it, this is, the "ultimate end" (letzter Zweck) of nature.
