Astroglial mGlu3R promotes neuroprotective effects, such as releasing neurotrophin sAPPα and increasing Aβ uptake. We aimed to study whether mGlu3R alterations could be associated with AD progression in an AD mice model. Evidence for mechanisms involved in sAPPα-mediated Aβ elimination is provided here as well. mGlu3R protein levels remain stable during aging in non-transgenic (NTg) mice, whereas they progressively decrease with age in PDAPP-J20 (Tg) animals (p
