Resumen:
In recent years, a large number of high-precision cosmological observations have revolutionized our view of the Universe, showing that it is currently in an accelerated expansion phase. This phenomenon could imply that the energy content of the Universe is dominated by a component of dark energy. Alternatively, it could be the demonstration that general relativity fails on very large scales. The observations of the large-scale structure of the Universe (LSS) based on the new large-volume galaxy surveys, such as eBoss, HETDEX and Euclid, will play an important role in the distinction between these two scenarios in the forthcoming years.Galaxies form a large variety of structures, with groups of galaxies and clusters connected by a series of large filaments surrounding nearly empty regions called cosmic voids. Voids can be used to produce powerful cosmological tests in two fundamental ways: by analyzing their abundances in function of the volume and through the analaysis of their density profiles. In this talk, after a review of the state of the art on the tests of cosmological parameters using LSS statistics, we will present some of the results of our working group aimed to developing cosmic voids as cosmological laboratories.
