Resumen:
The glucocorticoid receptor (GR) is a hormone-regulated transcription factor that plays a central role in metabolic regulation and anti-inflammatory activities. Population-based assays such as ChIP-seq have historically been utilized to investigate the interactions of transcription factors to chromatin. However the dynamic binding behavior of these factors in living cells remains unclear. We have examined the behavior of GR and a number of its known cofactors; AP1, GRIP1, and BRG1 at the single-molecule level in living cells.
