Resumen: This book is intended to introduce biomedical engineers, health professionals (medical staff ) scholars and researchers to the study and integration of the neurorehabilitation advances, specially focused in applied technologies and mathematical methods.Neurorehabilitation programs involve the assessment of functional capabilities and interdisciplinary treatment of physical, sensorial and cognitive impairement. There is an increasing tendence to apply technology tools to promote the quantitative measurement of movements and forces, analysis of motor planification, motivation and enhancement of neuroplasticity. The purpose of this book is to review insights obtained from research on these topics and in the context of clinical applications with emphasis on neuroanatomy and neuromodulation, robotic rehabilitation devices, signal processing, human-machine interfaces, software development, serious games and virtual reality. We hope some readers will be able to discover by themselves the perspectives and trends in technology assisted neurorehabilitation, with this book as reference in a unified framework.
