Resumen:
􀀤io􀀲lat􀀔 is a user􀀏friendly bioinformatic resource 􀀊http􀀜//􀁙􀁙􀁙.cancergenomics.net􀀋, 􀁙hich provides a set of analytic tools forthe discovery and in silico evaluation of novel prognostic andpredictive cancer biomar􀁍ers based on integration and re􀀏use ofgene expression signature in the context of follo􀁙􀀏up data. Here,􀁙e describe the main improvements implemented in the secondversion of the soft􀁙are. The ne􀁙 distinctive features include thecapability to analyze the gene expression profiles in the context offollo􀁙􀀏up among thousand of samples obtained from TC􀀩A project􀀊The Cancer 􀀩enome Atlas, 􀀰C􀀫 􀅌 􀀰H􀀩􀀴􀀫􀀋 in almost every humancancer disease. The des􀁍top cross􀀏platform client applicationisno􀁙 supported by a dedicated 􀀤ioplat bac􀁍end for the statisticaland computational analysis of very large databases. Furthermore,􀁙e have refurbished its graphical interface, added ne􀁙 visualizationtools and up-graded the BioPlat data bases providing accesstomore than 􀀓􀀒.􀀒􀀒􀀒 gene signatures. 􀀫n conclusion, 􀀤io􀀲lat􀀔 facilitatesthe mining process of oncogenomics data obtained frompublicly available geneexpression profiling repositories
