Resumen:
Background and objectives: The purpose of the present study
was to identify genes with differential expression in peripheral
blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from vaccinated protected and
unprotected cattle against challenge with a pathogenic strain of
M. bovis. Methods: In a bovine vaccine trial we evaluated the
protection conferred by two different vaccine candidates. Vaccinated
cattle were divided into three groups according to their
pathology score, vaccinated/protected (n=4), vaccinated/unprotected
(n=4) and vaccinated with intermediate pathology score
(n=2). Total ARN was obtained from PBMC samples stimulated
with purified protein derivative of M. bovis (PPDB) at 60 days
post vaccination. Using Affymetrix GeneChip® Bovine Genome
Array we analized the transcriptomic profile of the ARN samples
searching for differential gene expression among groups. Results:
