Resumen:
This work proposes several modified gold nanorods in order to tune the resonance condition of the electric field enhancement factor (EF) near the surface. The proposed geometry consists of a single gold cylinder with a fixed diameter of 360 nm and a variable length (L). Gold is deposited by using masks only at the end of the cylinder in a highly controlled manner, thus obtaining a covered part (with length C and thickness t) and a discovered part (with length D), where L=D+C. The EF has been calculated for several values of the parameters C, D and e; using the discrete dipole approximation (DDA) method and carried out by DDSCAT [1]. This study assumes a constant incident field of wavelength 633 nm from a Helium-Neon laser.
