Resumen:
Articulates (Sphenophylls and Equisetaleans) are one of the most diverse and succesful plant groups found in late Paleozoic rocks of Patagonia. Among the Equisetaleans, the genus Phyllotheca Brongniart is represented by several species, while Annularia and Asterophyllites are also present but geographically more restricled. Barakada is another taxon originally described from lndia and also found in Argentina. The new materials here described come from the early Permian Rio Genoa Fm. and the late early Permian La Golondrina Fm. In the former, two new genera (designated as Genera A and B) with four species, and Barakaria dichotoma (Feistmantel) Seward et Sahni, are studied. From the La Golondrina Fm. the genera Neocatamites and Neocalamostachys are recorded for the first time. All of them have been found with their reproductive parts both organically attached to vegetative organs or well intimately associated.
