In metal-enriched interstellar mediums, the abundance of molecular gas is primarily governed by the formation of H2 on dust grains, as well as its self-shielding and shielding by dust against photodissociation by the interstellar radiation field. The upcoming presentation will provide an update of the model for the creation and evolution of H2 within the MUPPI+Dust code.
