Recent research has pointed to forms of increased parallelism or of (re)nascent political divisions permeating media systems (de Albuquerque 2017, Nechustai 2018)Populist mobilization has been shown to be productive in terms of potentially stable political identities or even political parties (Laclau 2005, Levitsky, Loxton y van Dyck, 2016)I contend that populist confrontations (with established media institutions) have been very productive in re-structuring media system?s in terms of re-aligning along a populist / anti-populist line.In contexts of populist aftermath the disappearance the initial productive mechanism has disappeared , therefore different re-productive at play could be identified.
