Resumen:
This paper addresses the singular configuration of the argentine anti-trafficking campaign. What have been the political and cultural processes through which ?sex trafficking? has become, in less than ten years, a matter of the highest political priority? What narratives and historical local experiences have nurtured the discourses of the campaign? The analysis suggests that one of the singularities of the argentine campaign is its appeal to a set of political rhetorics and symbols belonging to the struggle of human rights organisations in their longstanding demands of ?memory, truth and justice? for the crimes committed in the context of the state terrorism of the 1970s. If the evocation to the figure of the ?desaparecido? [disappeared] had established, within the democratic transition years, a way to dispute the denial perspectives of state terrorism crimes, the figure of ?desaparecida en democracia? [disappeared in democracy] ?articulated with a consolidated repertoire of contention?emerged as a powerful symbol which has allowed feminists and anti-trafficking activists to quickly shape an interpretive framework related to a broader audience. The paper analyses the effects of these strategies on the redefinition of hegemonic narratives on sexual commerce and young women´s circulation outside family structures. Finally, these reflections aim to critically explore the feminisms? uses of human rights languages in Argentina, seeking to grasp their potentialities, limits and ambivalencesNota: EL ISBN es el número del instructivo.
