In this study the preparation of diverse porous polymeric micro-spheres (MS) by phase inversion process was investigated. The MS were prepared from dichloromethane solutions of commercial polymers such as Polysulfone (PSf), Poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) and Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as additive. The morphological-structural properties of the obtained ME were characterized by optical microscopy and mercury porosimetry. In order to analyze the performance of these porous MS, batch extraction experiments of Cr(VI) ions in aqueous solutions using Aliquat 336 extractant were performed.
