In this work present measurements interdiffusion in diffusion couples of various Zr Based alloys (Zr pure,Zr-2.5% Nb, Zr-20% Nb and Zircaloy - 2) with stainless steel ASTM 410. The interest of this study is toobserved interdiffusion at high temperatures of possible connections in devices made of these materialsand used in the operation nuclear reactors. These couplings can be generated from manufacturing processessuch as welding, with the consequent formation of intermetallic and important diffusion of alloying speciessuch as Fe, Cr, Zr and Nb phases, which affect the micro and macrostructural properties of devices.Measurement results are shown using the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy technique (LIBS), as themain tool for determining interdiffusion profiles. Two methods of analysis were used: Lateral andsectioning measurement. Can be obtained more accurately the relative composition and diffusion of Fe and Cr in the matrix alloy Zr and Zr in the matrix of stainless steel. In addition, studies with Scanning ElectronMicroscopy (SEM) with Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS), showing the microstructure of the wholesystem and the composition of the intermetallic phase formed at the junction area..
