This work presents measurements of interdiffusion profiles in various diffusion couples of Zr alloys (pure Zr, Zr-2.5% Nb, Zr-20% Nb and Zircaloy-2) with stainless steel ASTM 410. The interest of this study is observed to high temperature interdiffusion of possible connections in devices constructed from these materials and used in the operation of nuclear reactors. Interdiffusion profiles obtained by Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy LIBS as measurement main tool are presented. Besides studies with Scanning Electron Microscopy with Electron Dispersive Analysis (EDS), which shows the microstructure in the joint area, as well as diffusion of Fe and Cr in the Zr matrix alloy and Zr in the stainless steel matrix.
