Resumen:
ABSTRACT: On the basis of the complete thermo-hydraulic and solar modeling and the cost analysis presented in other related work, it has optimized the design of a simple and economical solar collector (of self construction) for providing hot water, which can satisfy the night demands similarly to high cost commercial collectors ($ 2,000 versus $ 15,000). This new system could work well even in temperate climates, as shown by thermal simulation in Buenos Aires, by the simplest configuration of natural convection. It could also greatly improve performance on large systems and / or the proposed configuration using forced convection. For this reason and added to its extreme simplicity and mechanical robustness, this design could meet new markets in developing countries.
