Resumen:
This paper presents the progress in the implementation of self- build solar water heaters in origins communities of Tastil Town, Quebrada del Toro, Salta province during the 2022. This development is done under the project “renewables energies on Salta’s hills: Building cooperatives nets for the good living”, financed by the Social Actors Demand Council Program “PRCODAS” (Spanish acronym). The process is based on a participatory and interactive approach. The results highlight the potential of this social technology as a product, process and management, enabling the use of solar resources to improve living conditions in rural communities in the Salta’s hils region.
