Biodiversity conservation has been a global concern, mainly due to the growing disturbancein the structure and function of ecosystems (1). Consequently, this results in the loss of nativediversity, including parasites from different vertebrate hosts (2). In view of this, the knowledge ofhelminth biodiversity is extremely important, since parasites can also bring relevant informationabout environmental stress, structure, and function in the food chain and biodiversity .
