Resumen:
Nine species of gastropods are reported from theBajocian (Middle Jurassic) part of  theBadamu Formation of Central Iran. This is the first report of gastropod asseemblageof this age from the shelves of Cimmerian Continent. Seven species belong to Vetigastropodaand two belong to Caenogastropoda. Two new species, the pleurotomarrid Bathrotomaria iranica sp. nov. and theeucyclid Eucycloidea badamuensis sp.nov. are described. The remaining species are left in open nomenclature due to poorpreservation. The composition of the gastropod association is closelyreminiscent of other Tethyan gastropod faunas, in particular from the southernshores of the Tethys (India and Arabia) and from the southern Europe. Thissuggests a relatively uniform distribution of gastropod faunas along the MiddleJurassic shores of western Tethys.
