Resumen:
Pollution can be contained and/or reversed by taking advantage of the chemical and physical properties of the contaminants and their environment through the application of physicochemical processes. These processes are usually targeted at certain groups of pollutants, as they can be complex and excessively expensive (Aparicio et al., 2022). Moreover, in some cases, their impact on the ecosystem is high. Some of the most frequently used techniques are presented below.
