Antarctic UV measurements since 2000

Total ozone and UV measurements have beenperformed with the NILU-UV radiometer at thestation of Ushuaia (54◦S),Marambio (64◦S) andBelgrano II (77◦S) since 2000. The network wasestablished in 1999/2000 by the Spanish AgenciaEstatal deMeteorolog´ıa (AEMET) in collaborationwith the FinnishMeteorological Institute (FMI),the Argentinian Direcci ´on Nacional delAnt ´artico-Instituto Ant ´artico (DNA-IAA) andCentro Austral de Investigaciones Cientificas(CADIC). This poster show the UV and ozonetime series measured in Ushuaia and Marambioduring 2000?2010. At present, the instruments ofthis network have come to the end of theiroperational life span and need to be replaced bynew ones. A multi-filter UV-instrumentGUV-2511, manufactured by BiosphericalInstruments Inc., will be set up by FMI incollaboration with ServicioMeteorol ´ogicoNacional, Argentina (SMNA) in the Antarcticstation ofMarambio in 2016/2017.
