Resumen:
In this conference, I will present multiple studies from my laboratory showing the critical involvement of sensorimotor neurocognitive mechanisms in lexico-semantic processing during language processing. I shall argue that a full understanding of the neurofunctional organization of linguistic system (if at all an achievable enterprise) requires looking beyond classical language areas and expanding the set of notions typically addressed in empirical linguistics.
