Resumen:
The Germancockroach, Blattella germanica (L.), isaserioushouseholdandpublichealthpestworldwide.The aimofthepresentstudywastoevaluatethesublethalactivityofpolymer-basedessentialoils(EOs)nanoparticles (NPs)onadultsof B. germanica. The LC50 and LC25 for contacttoxicityweredetermined.ToevaluatetherepellencyofEOsandNPsatLC25, asoftwarewasspeciallycreatedinordertotrackmultipleinsects onjust-recordedvideos,andgeneratestatisticsusingtheobtainedinformation.TheeffectsofEOsand NPsatLC25 and LC50 on thenutritionalphysiologywerealsoevaluated.TheresultsshowedthatNPsexertedsublethaleffectsontheGermancockroach,sincetheseproductsenhancetherepellenteffectsofthe EOsandnegativelyaffectedthenutritionalindicesandthefeedingdeterrenceindex.
