AIM: Depression has a highly prevalence worldwide and serious consequences are associated with its lack of detection and treatment. That is why makes research about its prevention and early intervention is highly relevant as a scientific task. ?Smiling is Fun? (SiF) is a self-apply internet-based intervention program for Emotional Disorders. This self-intervention is usefulness to allows participants to learn and practice adaptive ways to cope with daily problems and depressive symptoms.METHODS: In one of the poorest provinces of Argentina, in a town away from urban areas, we invite the general population to participate in training in emotional regulations techniques. During 12 weeks, we allow participants to access to 8 online modules, in order to received psychoeducational information about emotional disorders, advantages and disadvantages of change, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, importance of emotions, differences between hedonic and eudaimonic well-being, techniques for self-regulation, and relapse prevention.RESULTS: Preliminary data collected will presented about the validation of SiF, showing the importance of weekly support to decrease dropout rates. SiF has high levels of acceptance. The implementation of an e-mental Health technologies in Argentina as a line of intervention and priority and innovative research in mental health.DISCUSSION: Preliminary results suggest the challenges and possibilities that online based interventions in naturalistic settings offers to mental health.
