Resumen:
It was recently shown that pulsed ion accelerators can provide relatively deep and uniform implantation profiles required to improve tribological properties of steels. However, due to the collective effects generated by the accelerated ion flux, a strong and fast heating process is produced in a very short time. As a result, an important thermal effect is added to the pure implantation process which induces irreversible residual deformations. In this paper, we show the possibility of using TV holography to measure the residual deformations generated by a pulsed ion accelerator over the whole surface of an implanted specimen.
