Resumen:
Our concern is to estimate technical efficiency of the non-life insurance industry for Argentina. We would like to answer some questions regarding efficiency: What are the levels of comparative efficiency in the sector? How does the sector as a whole perform in term of efficiency? Is efficiency evolving in recent years, or is it stagnated? Is the sector improving its technology in the recent years? To respond these questions, we construct a database of the sector and run a SFA estimate to determine efficiency of individual companies, the sector as a whole, its evolution along recent years and technology change.
