A study of the Galactic HI supershell GS 121-05-037

GS 121–05–037 is a Galactic supershell located in the outer part of the Galaxy at (l,b)∼(121.◦3,−4.◦8) at a distance of 3.2±1 kpc from the Sun. In this work we estimated the kinetic energy ofthe feature to determine its possible origin. Several catalogued Hiiregions are located projected towards thesupershell. With the aim of determining if the Hiiregions were triggered by the expansion of the supershell wedeveloped a method to detect the generating sources of the Hiiregions an to determine if they are located at thesame distance than the supershell. To this end, we made use of photometric and astrometric data from GAIADR3 in conjunction with 2MASS photometry.
