Resumen:
    Recently, inner-shell ionization by low-energy positrons has been studied [1, 2] for K and L shells of several targets through the detection of characteristic x-ray intensities. However, comparison of the measured ionization cross sections with theoretical calculations (within the plane-wave Born approximation) reveals discrepancies, especially in the case of L shells. These discrepancies arise in part by the uncertainties regarding the different parameters involved inthe conversion from the raw experimental data (x-ray intensities) to cross-section data, such as fluorescence yield and x-ray emission rates.
