Plasmon potential induced by an external charged particle traversing a solid surface in incoming and outgoing trajectories

In this work we study the movement of an external charged particle traversing a solidsurface, and coupling with the bulk and surface plasmon excitations. We pay special attention to thedifferences and similarities between incoming and outgoing trajectories [1], finding some noveloscillatory structures that can be ascribed to interference effects between direct and reflectedcontributions.
