The goal of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Alcohol ExpectancyScale AES-AA. In this study, 592 adolescents from private and public schools of the city ofCordoba (Argentina) participated. The psychometric study was carried out with the Rating ScaleModel -RSM-, a polytomous Rasch Model. Out of the 45 items that make up the scale, 42 itemshad adequate fit indexes, and it was explicated 91.3% of the adolescents? response patterns. Theestimation error of the parameters was low, indicating adequate precision of the items. Alcoholexpectancies were arrayed on continuous differentially. New psychometric properties the AESAAhave been explored in this study, showing adequate results to measure adolescents´expectancies about alcohol.
