Resumen:
Lignocellulosic wastes are potential feedstock for fuels and chemical products through a platform biorefinery. Sugarcane is one of the most important energy crops in tropical countries, and sugarcane bagasse is one of the most important waste in the sugarcane process production. It is important to find profitable production processes that can add value this residue, these processes can be carried out at different scales (small, medium, etc.). The advantages of small-scale biorefineries are lower capital and logistics costs, and lower inversion risk than those in large-scale ones, in addition to the possibility of labor occupation in rural areas. The aim of this study was to compare a sugarcane bagasse biorefinery scheme, different products from hemicelluloses and residual solid of the autohydrolysis of sugarcane bagasse were studied.
