Integrated spectral properties of star clusters of the Magellanic Clouds

Flux-calibrated spectra in the optical range are presentedfor 4 and 2 previously unstudied star clusters of the Large and SmallMagellanic Clouds, respectively. Photographic and integrated photometryhas been reported only for one of them (SL 234). We have estimated agesand foreground interstellar reddening values from the comparison of theline strengths and continuum distribution of the cluster spectra with thoseof template cluster spectra with known parameters. Ages were also derivedfrom the equivalent widths of the Balmer lines. All the studied clustersare found to be low-reddened moderately young objects (age<100 Myr).These data will soon be complemented with those obtained in a similarway to examine the cluster formation history in the Magellanic Clouds.
