Resumen:
The present study consists on identifying, classifying and determining the areal distribution of different historical and pre-historical landslide processes happened along the Rio Mendoza Valley from Picheuta to Guido locality. The applied methodology is based on photointerpretation, digital analysis of satellital images and field control. A landslide inventory map was obtained revealing that great part of the survey area is affected by this natural geological process. A correlation has been found between the occurrence of landslides and triggering factors. The principal landslide conditioning factors were analyzed.
