Resumen:
Natural gases normally contain some quantities of acid gases. During production, transportation, and processing, the presence of acid gases can cause corrosion and other operational problems. To avoid these problems, acid gases are typically absorbed in absorption columns using amine aqueous solutions. Accurate knowledge of natural gas + amine aqueous solution is therefore of interest to design and optimize amine absorption units. To estimate phase behavior of natural gas + amine aqueous solution, it is necessary to predict phase behavior of binary systems of hydrocarbon, amine, water and acid gas. In this work, we report new experimental data on the solubility of different hydrocarbons in various amine aqueous solutions at different equilibrium conditions, which have been measured using a static-analytic technique that takes advantage of a RolsiTM sampling device. Extension of a group contribution-associating-equation of state, namely the GCA-EoS, for modeling phase behavior of the above mentioned systems is studied. Some of recently obtained results are presented
